I have been tutoring students on the SAT and ACT for over 10 years. Prior to Leland, I was a tutor for companies such as CCPrep and Powerful Prep where I worked closely with high school students preparing for these exams in the Southern California region. My students have consistently achieved strong increases in their scores and subsequently gained admission to great universities. As your tutor, I will help you understand your areas of weakness and systematically work on addressing them over the course of our sessions. I can help you formulate a study plan and routine that will achieve results prior to your anticipated test day.

About Jamasb

Originally from Southern California, Jamasb graduated with honors from Harvard University with a degree in Human Developmental and Regenerative Biology and minor in Neurobiology and is now completing his final year as an MD/MBA student at Stanford University. Outside of academics, Jamasb is a member of the Stanford Club Tennis Team and has played guitar in several bands.

Why do I coach?

As a first generation college student, I understand that the process of navigating standardized exams and securing college, medical school, and business school admissions can be challenging without proper guidance. I was able to carve my own path with the help of amazing mentors, and I truly enjoy paying this forward whenever I can. As a coach, I hope to impart the lessons I have learned over the years and have had excellent success in helping my mentees achieve high exam scores and admissions results to date. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing one of my students realize their potential and achieve goals they once thought were unrealistic.
