You’re set on being a CFO. You’re currently an accountant/controller or a Big 4 auditor. I’m here to help you strategize your career track, uplevel your skillset, network, land and nail your interview. Here’s a suggested coaching plan (we will tailor the series to your circumstances): • Career review (1 hr): We will break down your career path, select most relevant experiences, and craft a unique story to share with your future employer. We will review your resume and rebuild your LinkedIn to highlight your accomplishments and stand out among thousands of others. • Career strategy (1 hr): FP&A vs CorpDev. Big corporate vs startup. We will discuss various career paths and identify the one which gets you excited. We will connect the dots between where you are today and where you aspire to be in 5 years, identify gaps in your experience/resume, devise a strategy to boost your profile, and outline the next steps. • Interview prep (1 hr): What do companies expect from their finance teams? What does success look like for various finance roles? How to make your experience sound relevant to the role for which they are hiring? What experiences are worth sharing with the hiring manager? How to address gaps in your experience? • FP&A (1 hr): How to build a financial model that’s comprehensive and easy to update every month? How to improve accuracy of monthly forecasts? How to allocate capital prudently based on your analysis? How to assist the team with hiring? • VP Finance (1 hr): How to build and lead the finance team? How to create a culture of transparency? How to work cross-functionally and maximize your impact? How to serve external stakeholders, such as investors, partners, and customers?

CFO at Collectly | ex-PE, VP CorpDev, VP Finance at FinTech startups

I currently lead the finance organization at Collectly, Series A FinTech startup backed by Sapphire Ventures. Prior to taking on the CFO role, I was VP Finance at two a16z-backed early-stage startups (Keep Financial and Co:Create). Before 2022, I had been a VP Corporate Development, forging multi-billion dollar strategic partnerships, leading 20+ investments on behalf of American Express, and leading the $850 million sale of Kabbage in the midst of the Covid pandemic. Building on 10+ of my investment banking and growth equity experience, I successfully transitioned to an operating role at Kabbage, the leading provider of financial services to small businesses. I devised and led distribution partnerships with the leading banks in the world growing Kabbage’s revenues to $500 million. When Covid hit, I led the overhaul of our corporate strategy and led the company’s sale, while managing relationships with our board, investors, partners, and employees. Joining American Express as part of the Kabbage’s sale exposed me to the most challenging process of any acquisition – integration. While building a cross-functional team to ensure Kabbage fit well within American Express, I led the expansion of Amex’s small business services via M&A and strategic investments deploying over $1 billion of capital in 2 years.
